Tech Savvy Seniors ~ A Digital Literacy Training

This 30-hour Connecting Minority Communities Project will focus on Computer Literacy, Microsoft Suite training, and Telemedicine Demonstration.

COURSE MODULES INCLUDE

  • Introduction to Computers
  • Introduction to the Internet 
  • Introduction to Cyber Security
  • Introduction to Smartphones Android/iPhone
  • Introduction to Tablets Android/iPad
  • Introduction to Email
  • Introduction to Online Shopping
  • Introduction to Social Media
  • Introduction to Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive
  • Introduction to video calling  
  • Sharing photos and other attachments online
  • The Basics of Telemedicine/Telehealth. Seniors will watch and discuss a simulated Telemedicine demonstration. Seniors will learn how to prepare for telehealth visits, feel empowered with telehealth, how to pay for their telehealth visits and how to troubleshoot telehealth technology.
